“A tapware product should always offer impeccable functionality”, says Jose Lara

From 3 to 13 November, visitors to the latest edition of Marbella Design will get a chance to explore the “Marbella Luxury Suite” space designed by the interior designer Jose Lara. The interior designer, who has already used Tres tapware for his projects on many occasions, has surrendered to the elegant and sophisticated beauty of the matte rose gold finish tapware products from Tres, which perfectly suit his bathroom space for this event.

Where did you get your inspiration for the design of your space for Marbella Design 2022?

José Lara (JL): “Marbella Luxury Suite” was inspired by the genuine concept of luxury. A muted and subtle luxury. Based on the quality of the materials used, the inherent design value and subdued textures. We also reinterpret the essence of proximity to the sea and the eroticism for which the nights in Marbella are known.

Which three characteristics do you look for in tapware for a bathroom space?

JL: First of all, I look for functionality, which should always be impeccable. I cannot conceive of any product being beautiful if it is not functional.

I also look for timelessness in tapware, as much in the lines of its design as in the quality of its finish. I like to discover the latest trends, but I also like to filter them by trying to imagine how I will perceive the chosen item in a few years’ time.

Of course, beauty and design value would be the final thing I look for.

How do you view the collaboration on this space at Marbella Design with Tres Grifería?

JL: It is really just an extension of my everyday work because I regularly use products from Tres Grifería in my projects. The quality of their designs and finishes is impeccable.

When I discovered their new collections, I knew they would suit the project perfectly because, as I said, subtle and subdued luxury were the basis for my design.

“We believe that Marbella Design brings value to the brands that actually manufacture in Spain, highlighting the importance of quality and service”, says Núria Pujol, Head of Marketing at Tres Grifería

What does Tres Grifería hope to achieve at Marbella Design?

Núria Pujol (NP): Positioning ourselves as a cutting-edge brand has always been essential for Tres. We are committed to ensuring that both design and quality are a fundamental part of our product, as well as our brand image.

We opened the Contract channel a few months ago to get even closer to the world of interior design. Marbella Design is the ideal place for reaching out to professionals in this sector so that they see us as the perfect tapware brand for every space and requirement because we are capable of adapting ourselves to a whole range of different styles. Furthermore, we believe that Marbella Design brings value to the brands that actually manufacture in Spain, highlighting the importance of quality and service.

What new products is Tres Grifería presenting at Marbella Design?

NP: Looking ahead to 2023, we will have a lot of news to share and we wanted to take this opportunity alongside Jose Lara and Marbella Design to reveal a small part of what is to come. On this occasion, we will be showing a few two-handle sink taps from the new Mont Blanc range and perhaps something else, but I can only pique your interest right now... It will be the most exclusive collection from Tres and will be available in the matte black finishes and our four 24-carat gold finishes. The pieces chosen for the show are in matte rose gold: a spectacular finish that is easy to combine in different spaces because its warmth helps to create a match with a huge variety of colours.

How does the Jose Lara space represent the values of Tres Grifería?

NP: Jose Lara is a great interior designer with exquisite taste. I think what I appreciate most about his work is his ability to adapt to different spaces and the importance he gives to colour. If you look at his projects, you can see how they perfectly integrate both colours and materials, highlighting their value while maintaining the strength of the space overall. Being able to create that sensation is what ties us to him and his work because our idea for tapware is that the pieces should be appreciated in a bathroom, but only as part of a whole. Another bond I think we share lies in our strong demands on quality when creating projects. For Marbella Design, Jose Lara will create an exclusive space in which Tres will be able to add its unique touch.
