Interior designer Virginia Sánchez chooses matte gold by Tres Grifería in her ‘Sheroes’ bathroom at Casa Decor 2022

Virginia Sánchez at Casa Decor 2022 – to be held from 7 April to 22 May 2022 – presents her space Sheroes (She+Heroes), a bathroom which pays homage to women’s empowerment and in which the 24K matte gold shower pieces by Tres Grifería stand out.

“We have chosen Tres for the purity of its outlines and its perfect tuning and integration with the spirit of our space and with the essence of what we wish to transmit: femininity, strength and elegance” says Virginia Sánchez.

Sheroes, the Geberit space designed by Virginia Sánchez, represents all those women who, regardless of their race, creed or condition, have been pioneers of great feats throughout history, and have broken the established stereotypes.

The space plays theatrically to break stereotypes and create trends. Curved shapes alternate with straight lines, cold colours in dark shades meet the gentleness of the softest warm tones, masculine vs. feminine… Contrasts which live together in harmony and stand out, just as all these women did in their time.

An elegant, feminine, sophisticated and fresh shower

To house the shower, Virginia Sánchez has devised a curved sculpture which lifts up towards the sky. “It recalls how Amelia Earhart, the first woman aviator, rose above the clouds as she piloted her plane” explains the interior designer.

The elegance of the shower parts in 24K matte gold by Tres Grifería stands out on the walls floor in a deep Klein blue. The space is reminiscent of the imposing Blue Building at the Pacific Design Center, designed by Norma Merrick Sklarek, the first African American woman architect to form part of the American Institute of Architects of the USA.

The importance of all the functional parts is expressed in a sculptural, elegant and theatrical way. Indirect lighting and wall lights play with a theatrical effect which never fails to impress.

The large size of the shower head built into the ceiling, in 24K matte gold by Tres, with a diameter of 500 mm, promises a complete shower experience.

The pronounced rectangular shape of the space lets the visitor discover the parts that make up the bathroom one by one as they move around. Each is displayed in an unusual manner, and all are gathered together in an elegant, feminine, sophisticated and fresh space.
