Save water by switching to an efficient tap from Tres Grifería

Tres Grifería strongly believes in the importance of replacing old taps with more efficient ones. Innovation makes water and energy saving easier.

The Fuji tap can provide a 40% water saving (7 m3 of water/year) and an energy saving of 114 kWh per year.

With a firm commitment to saving water ever since it was set up 55 years ago, Tres Grifería is highlighting the importance of updating old taps and replacing them with more modern alternatives that are more efficient and can significantly reduce both water and electricity bills.

As a result of its constant innovation in this field, Tres Grifería has steadily improved and developed a series of systems that it builds into its taps to help people save water:

-       Tres-Duo® system: this system saves water by having two possible open positions on its lever. The intermediate position consumes 50% less water.

-       Cold-Tres® system: this system ensures the tap always opens with cold water in order to save energy. It prevents the tap from being opened with mixed hot/cold water for certain daily routines that do not require warm water, such as brushing your teeth or washing your hands.

-       Built-in aerator nozzles: These produce a fast-flowing and uniform water/air mix. Perceived water pressure is not affected even though only half the water that would be consumed in the absence of an aerator nozzle is actually being used. By reducing water flow, the energy consumed by heating the water is also reduced.

-       Flow limiter. This is the eco-efficient option for saving the most water and allows maximum water flow to be adjusted by the user. The system reduces water consumption while maintaining user comfort. It can lead to a water saving of up to 48%.

An eco-efficient option, the Fuji tap from Tres

The new Fuji tap from Tres with its eco-efficient option is highly popular among end users, interior designers and architects alike.

It has become the ideal tap for more sustainably outfitting any bathroom space thanks to the fact that certain models include the Cold-Tres® (opening with cold water) and Tres-Duo® (intermediate lever position for 50% less consumption) water saving systems.

The Fuji collection also includes a hidden pivoting silicon aerator nozzle. Its concealed installation and very flat design means that its inclusion has absolutely no aesthetic impact on the overall look whatsoever. The premium quality silicon material guarantees that any potential limescale build-up can be cleaned easily, thereby extending the product lifespan and ensuring that it stays as good as new for longer.

The aerator nozzle can pivot, enabling the water jet to be aimed wherever you want. This avoids uncomfortable splashing or can be used to provide ideal installation of the tap on larger sinks. Lastly but by no means least importantly, the aerator nozzle is limited to 5.7 lpm, which can lead to a water saving of 40% (i.e. 7 m3 of water/year) and an energy saving of 114 kWh per year.

Another of its outstanding technical characteristics can be found in its hoses, which meet the EN-13618 standard. Their exterior is lined with a polyamide mesh capable of withstanding extreme pressure demands to offer an improvement over conventional flexi hoses with a stainless steel mesh:

- A polyamide mesh can be restored in the event of a potential crush or pinch, while stainless steel mesh is marked for life.

- It has no risk of corrosion. Usually resulting from chemical attack by cleaning products on stainless steel flexi hoses, corrosion can cause mesh strands to fail and leads to a point when the flexi hose can no longer withstand the pressure and gives way, potentially resulting in flood damage.

The Fuji tap from Tres also offers an outstanding contemporary design and is highly versatile, suiting a broad range of bathroom styles. The entire Fuji collection features a modern and dynamic look with a highly attractive sinuous silhouette and conical shapes.
